Fresh Science provides a national forum where 16 young scientists explain their work and interact with the media and a public audience to make science interesting, relevant and accessible.

The winners of Fresh Science 2003 were:

• Caroline Ford from the University of New South Wales. Caroline wins the 2003 British Council Australia Fresh Science Prize for her achievements.

• JP Hobbs wins the 2003 ABC Fresh Science Fellowship. JP will be flown to Sydney for a one week intensive training program.

Nominations for Fresh Science 2004 will open in May 2004. Instructions will be similar to these from 2003.
